Description
The Fleur-de-lis meaning flower of lily or iris is a stylized lily that is used for decorative design of symbol.
The fleur-de-lis has appeared on many European coats of arms but is most associated with the French in a historical element. The fleur-de-lis is still on the coat of arms for the King of Spain, the Grand Duke of Luxemburg and the House of Bourbon.
Historians believe the three petals of the flower represent the medieval social classes, those who worked, those who fought and those who prayed.
